What we collect

To operate your account, power the leaderboard and quest rewards, prevent abuse, and improve our AI predictions and content.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies for authentication (via Supabase) and analytics. Third-party tags fire for Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Ahrefs Analytics.

EsportScanner ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use esportscanner.com - including our free AI esports predictions, Scanner Points system, quests, leaderboard, shop, and all related services.

By using EsportScanner you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the service. EsportScanner is a free AI prediction platform - no real money, no deposits, no betting required at any stage.

1.0 Information we collect

Personal data - Email address, username, IP address, and device information collected when you sign up or log in.

Usage data - Free AI predictions made, quests completed, Scanner Points earned, pages visited, time spent on the platform, and referral sources.

Cookies and tracking - We use essential cookies for login and session management, and analytics cookies such as Google Analytics for platform performance. We also use affiliate tracking cookies when users click partner links on the Partners page. You can manage cookie preferences via your browser settings or our cookie banner.

2.0 How we use your information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the free AI prediction service including Scanner Points, leaderboard, and quests.

  • Personalise your experience - recommend matches, display your leaderboard rank, and track your free AI prediction history.

  • Communicate platform updates, new features, and support responses.

  • Comply with legal obligations including GDPR and applicable Dutch law.

  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access to the platform.

  • Share anonymised and aggregated data for analytics purposes.

3.0 Information sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers who support platform operations - hosting, analytics, and email services.

  • With verified partners such as those listed on the Partners page - only when you click an affiliate link. EsportScanner's free AI predictions are editorially independent from all partner arrangements.

  • For legal reasons - in response to a court order, legal process, or to protect the rights of EsportScanner and its users.

  • In the event of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

4.0 Privacy first - data encryption

EsportScanner operates on a Privacy First directive. We store only the data essential for operating your account - usernames, encrypted session tokens, free AI prediction histories, and Scanner Points balances.

User profile data is synchronised with our global infrastructure using end-to-end encryption. We do not sell user data to third-party data brokers. Your activity on EsportScanner remains within the EsportScanner ecosystem.

5.0 Your rights - GDPR and EU users

If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data.

  • Restrict or object to processing of your data.

  • Request data portability.

  • Withdraw consent at any time.

  • Purge your full account - including all free AI prediction history and Scanner Points - via the Profile settings page. Account deletion results in immediate erasure of all personal data and platform history.

6.0 Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data - including encryption and access controls. No system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we take all reasonable steps to protect your information.

7.0 Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the free AI prediction service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is required by law.

8.0 International data transfers

Data may be transferred outside the EU - for example to cloud hosting providers. We use Standard Contractual Clauses and other approved safeguards to protect all international data transfers in compliance with GDPR requirements.

9.0 Cookies and similar technologies

We use localised cookies to maintain session connectivity and track user preferences - such as selected esports game filters and UI settings - ensuring a consistent experience across sessions. Analytics cookies such as Google Analytics help us understand platform usage and improve the free AI prediction experience.

10.0 Children's privacy

EsportScanner is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If we become aware that we have collected data from a user under 16, we will delete it immediately.
